Will A.I ever replace paid advertising jobs?

A.I has already taken over a good portion of GoogleAds as we speak.

Since the development of automated bidding a couple of years ago, it has become easier to manage your accounts.

Don’t get me wrong, there is software out there now which completely automates your campaigns, you can even do it directly inside the Google Platform.

However, I don’t think paid advertising jobs will ever be eliminated. No matter how smart the A.I gets, it will never be able to match the mindset of a human.

I recently asked Google the same question and they had a simple answer.

A.I was developed to help us focus on the more important things like strategy and account development, and to focus less on tedious day to day jobs like adjusting cost per click (CPC) or deciding what days and times your ads should show.

Keep in mind, the A.I was put in place to help increase the performance of your account using data gathered from Google’s numerous platforms (most with over 1 billion users now!) to ensure its easier to target your relevant niche audience.

We as marketers still need to make the final calls on our marketing decisions for a campaign, Google can use all the data it wants to suggest that a certain action or bid strategy may work better to increase performance. But in the end, we know our clients better than what Google does.

We know their needs, their targeted personas and goals. Google just see’s numbers and data.

A.I should become a virtual friend you work with to meet your overall clients needs.

Neither A.I or human controlled campaign management is going away anytime soon, so pull out your popcorn, sit back and enjoy the show.
